What CivCodex collects, why, and what it never does with it.
What we store
For an account: your email, a password hash, an optional display name, and the terms version you accepted. For features: the shelves, bookmarks, follows and comments you create, keyed by your account id.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, run advertising trackers, or profile readers. Anonymous reading needs no account and sets no tracking cookies.
Cookies
Two cookies keep you signed in (an access token and a refresh token). They are essential and expire after 30 days.
Public display
Public shelves and comments show your display name. Login identities such as email addresses are never shown; where no display name exists they are masked.
Deletion
You can delete shelves and comments yourself, and request account deletion, which removes your personal data from the platform.
